Thermostat works great, easy to install. The only issue I have and I can’t figure out why when I do a temporary change to the temperature it doesn’t reset to follow the schedule at the next schedule time. For instance, if I turn the AC down 2° at 7 PM, it will come back and say hold until 4 PM, and not 10 PM, which is the start of the next scheduled period.
Well, it takes a lot of time to make friendship between you and your new thermostat... It is like a marriage - step by step you discover something good or bad in your partner. But as long as I use it - I like it. Main options - I can control situation remotely - do not pay a lot. It is really smart in connection - it tells you what is wrong about wires I got a rebate - 100$ from energy company!
The thermostat does not connect well with the app and rarely connects and does not turn off when it hits the temperature. Instead it continues to run and run which is awful for our electric bill and ecosystem.
The highest you can set this thermostat is 90 degrees. During on-peak hours, if you're not home & you want to raise your thermostat to a high temperature so that it won't kick on, you can only set it to 90. If your home temperature goes above 90, which it routinely does here in Arizona, your AC will kick on & you'll bit hit with on-peak charges from your utility company. The only solution is to turn your AC unit off entirely during peak hours, which is very bad for the AC unit. My previous Honeywell thermostat could be set higher than 90, so it wasn't a problem. The 90 degree limit on this thermostat is a big drawback.
