GOOD PRODUCT BUT...

I have no complaints about the thermostat, it works well and as described, but two concerns: 1) It came with an adaptor for those whose wiring in the box does not contain a "C" wire. My home has been updated, so the box contained a C Wire, and I am left with a gadget I don't know what to do with. I don't just want to put it in the garbage and send it to the landfill. 2) Overall, the product came in 500% more packaging it needs. Again, I have to send a lot of material to a landfill. This product does not require nearly this much packaging.

I have a new T9 thermostat but I live in the UK and would like a wiring diagram with more detail than what is in the product book as it’s really not the best.

Hi, below I listed a link to the installation guide, please feel free to visit our support center at the top of this page for additional support. https://customer.resideo.com/resources/techlit/TechLitDocuments/33-00000s/33-00421ES.pdf
I previously had a T9 thermostat at my primary residence, and a lesser T5 thermostat at my vacation home. I upgraded to the T9 at the second home to accommodate remote temperature sensors since this two-story property often has a significant temperature difference between upstairs and downstairs. I got that, but I also got unexpectedly easy installation -- considerably more trouble-free than I had with the lower-end T5 product. Smart house integration has gotten better, but there's still room for improvement: e.g. Echo/Alexa integration allows me to change temperature, but only a single set-point, not separate, simultaneous heating and cooling setpoints, thought the thermostat itself supports the latter. I've also not found any way to integrate vacation settings with apps beyond the one provided by Resideo.
We replaced one of our Nest thermostats with this T9, but are not yet definitive with our choice. Based on reviews, the Honeywell alone is more stable and not apt to break down with some strange error code, as the Nest, which is what’s happened to us. When you are 1,800 miles away for many months, the last thing one needs is to get an error code popping up on your app. The T9 is a clean look, but one aspect I miss is how the Nest would “awaken” and light up when you literally approached the device. The T9 is steadily lit up, which so far has stopped me from replacing the other Nests - especially one in the primary bedroom. In essence, the final vote is not yet in. The aspect of adding sensors with this Honeywell product is ideal, allowing us to be aware if the temp has dropped in a certain area through the app while we are away. This is a big plus for this name brand, and we will definitely be utilizing this aspect.
