The first thing I noticed about the T9 is the simplicity of the screen. You can read the temperature from across the room. I also like the display of the outdoor temperature. Just a tap on the screen displays an up and down arrow to adjust the temperature or set a hold time if you need to override the schedule. The display is bright but you can adjust the brightness during the scheduled “sleep” time. I have a hydronic heating system and each room is controlled by its own thermostat which was hard to manage. Now the app enables me to see each room and adjust as required. My old thermostats were battery powered and required new batteries every year and the seasonal time changes had to be set in seven zones manually. I was able to utilize a spare wire in the bundle run to each thermostat for the C wire to power all of the T9s. No more batteries!

We replaced a Lyric, which is probably the worst WiFi/app-enabled thermostat one can buy, with this. The sensor to put in another room is a game changer. Honeywell should not sell the Lyric product… they’re lucky I didn’t go with a different brand. The T9 should be everywhere.

Works fine, but technology sure isn't Ecobee. App and functions are effective and easy to use, but Ecobee has much better app to see system status, remote temperature, daily use, etc. I like the light it puts out (some had complained) but you may not like it in a bedroom due to brightness; for me it works fine.
