Really happy with the choice to get two of these thermostats. We also purchased three additional sensors for the upstairs unit, in each of three rooms that have been hard to cool and heat evenly, and they work perfectly. The installation was easy enough since we already had Honeywell T-5 thermostats in place - you do need to have the C-wire or use the modification kit, but we didn't have to mess with that. The set-up is very straightforward, and we had no issues with getting the thermostats to recognize the WIFI. Once you get the set-up done, it is easy to keep up via the phone app. Very happy with this product.

This is a very simple way to add a sophisticated thermostat System to your home because it gives you the opportunity to add some additional stations that communicate by Bluetooth and do not require hard wiring. This allows you to use average temperatures between areas if you choose to do so. Or it allows you to choose just the hardwired station while knowing what the temperature is at the other points. We have a larger home and it is a very good system for our needs.

We replaced a couple of old sub-smart Honeywell thermostats with two units of this model. After adapting to the personality of the scheduling system, the energy savings from one of the two units paid for the pair in the first month. This has had a notable impact on our monthly operating costs. We would like to see a different scheduling "app" option geared more towards a "commerical" use, than the current method which uses a more "residential" use model.

I love this system. I have a small home from mid 1950’s and a sensor in every room. I can keep the house comfortable where I am and keep track of all the rooms. I have learned what areas of my home loose more heat and that I may need some new windows. The geofence option along with the easy to set schedules have saved me a lot already. No need to worry if I’m away for long periods it sets the temp accordingly to save money, and with temperature warnings you would know if something like heat going out in winter while on vacation.

Basic smart thermostat with potential, I've had this thermostat for several years now hoping Honeywell would update the firmware. The updates have not come, there is still a 48-hour delay to see usage. A nest I can view usage instantly throughout the day. A monthly review is sent out, but only after about 3 weeks late. There are no options to allow the fan to blow after he or cool are turned off to add a little more efficiency to the system. After having a Nest at my new house for a month, I really appreciate what they were trying to do. Another problem is during setup when you're trying to test to make sure you have everything hooked up properly, it boots up and says waiting for equipment, there needs to be a countdown timer after boot up and something on the line during boot up timer or something along those lines. This thermostat has so much potential but Honeywell has not listen to any of my feedback.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
