Temperature swings wildly

I have had this for a few years and have had no problems except recently the temperature reading fluctuates by 8 degrees. It causes the house to get super cold or warm. I have bought a few digital thermometers to check the T9 and it is way off and changes in minutes. Please help!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nowhere in the instructions did it say that the Honeywell Home appis noe Resideo... once I figured that out, installation was simple. .. Watch the setup video!
Once I had the common wire, the thermostat was easy to install. It has a very nice presence, is user-friendly, and it’s wonderful to be able to control it remotely so easily.
The t-stat was relatively easy to install and get up and running. I struggled with the app a bit, not knowing which one to download because of the name changes between Honeywell and Residio. The instructions were not clear on this and the website less helpful. It was trial and error to find the right app and get it going. Once it was downloaded, the app worked well.
