Still unsure if this was the right move

Purchased 2 T9's and 3 sensors. T1 installed on first floor along with sensor 1. This combination appears to work well. Sensor 1 is set by default to control room temperature. Thermostat 2 (upstais hallway) along with sensor 2(master bedroom) and sensor 3 (front bedroom) combination does not work as well. The sensors appear lazy. Takes a long time to change temerature. I've gone so far as to remove from wall and place over vent and after 5 minutes the temperature did not change (monitored on app and thermostat). Did same with other sensor and same result. What does this mean? It means my ac unit runs forever.
Another thing: if set to 76 and temperature is 76, it energizes ac unit. Display reads "cooling to 76". Why? My other thermostats did not cool or heat until temperature reached +/- 2 degrees of set temperature.
I don't know if these are faulty but there sure to increase my bill (no bueno)
Btw, how does one know the latest firmware?
For example thermostat 1 firmware is 01.03.08.86, whereas thermostat 2 firmware is 01.03.08.2A. I also note that firware on sensor 1 and 2 is 1.0.6.0 but 1.0.3.9 for sensor 3.
A little guidance is appreciated, otherwise i may have to return or resell these due to performance inconsistencies.
I must also say these look great, program easy and also easy to install.
Thank you for reading and looking forward to some guidance.

Cox yes, FIOS no

When I got this unit, I had Cox Cable, and it worked like a charm, I could not ask it to do anything more. And having the sensor in my bedroom was great! But then, I switched to FIOS, and it stopped working! It could not find the network that was right there, yet it could find 10 or 12 throughout the neighborhood! So I had to use it manually, which kind of defeated the reason I bought it, and was really annoying to use.
Then about a year later, it all of a sudden found the network, how and why I will never know, and with a 1 1/2 hour phone call to Mexico, it got fixed. And I had to update the app.
So my word would be if you have Cox Cable, it is a great unit. But if you use FIOS, then it may be iffy.

Worst smart thermostat on the market

I bought this a month ago to upgrade the Carrier smart thermostat that came with my house. Installation was easy but I am unable to create an accurate schedule in my time zone, it uses time pulled from the internet but not the current time zone. The time zone cannot be set in the thermostat so I had to convert my schedule to GMT time.
The Time Zone is set by the app, however, I am unable to connect the app because I cannot create a login ID and password. No where in the app does it have a link to register a new user, there is a Forgot Password link but not a Register New User link.
Create a user account on the website but it uses a user ID, the App uses my email address for a user ID so that did not work.
I am unable to register the T9, the models listed for registering product stops at T6.
I give up, this is a trash product, Resideo, Honeywell Home products are on my never again do not buy list and of course I will be sharing my experiences whenever the conversation with friends and colleagues turns towards home automation, AC, thermostats, bad customer service, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi mvoliver, we are sorry to hear about this, this is not what you should expect. Please install the Resideo app to your phone, you don't need the TCC app nor the MyTCC website. Create an account on the Resideo app and follow the prompts to register your T9. Our support team is available 7 days a week, just visit our Support Center link at the top of the page for ways to get in touch and someone would be happy to help.

Honeywell-Resideo T9 Thermostat new installation

T9 thermostat installed as part of an Energy Trust of Oregon energy efficiency study. Straightforward installation except the last, activation step which I chose to have done automatically because I couldn't figure out how it was done manually using the instructions. Thermostat has several menus to add or adjust choices. The ability to add up to 11 wireless, battery powered room sensors that adjust average set temperature based on room activity is a nice feature though we are using just the 1 sensor that came with the thermostat.
I would recommend this to a friend!
