Installation instructions for Heat Pumps was buried in advanced settings. I've installed thermostats before but this time I had to call a HVAC professional because the normal install instructions resulted in heat when thermostat was on cool settings. App also leaves a lot to be desired - wish I bought a Nest or ECOBEE instead

Great for a vacation home. Lets me monitor both humidity (to prevent mold) and temperature remotely, as well as change settings if needed. Theoretically, it will send an email message if my temp and humidity limits are exceeded. So far so good. Humidity is remaining low so no alerts. I really like the straight forward way the unit programs. I don't want fancy on a thermostat. I want clear and easy adjustment. By contrast, a Google Nest thermostat at a different property looks flashier, but programming it is awkward and overall a nuisance. This unit was more costly, but anyone can control and adjust this unit with ease and confidence. I don't do Alexa or Google integration so can't comment. I don't need to talk to a thermostat especially with an easy and efficient phone app. Very pleased.
