So far, we have been very pleased with our new Honeywell (aka: Resideo) Smart Thermostat and would recommend the product to others. The thermostat was installed on April 26, 2023, so we've been using it for almost a month as I write this review.

It works well and is easy to connect to Apple homekit. My only complaint is that the data on the app sometimes take time to sync with the thermostat. The rooms sensors are very handy and easy to set up. If you connect to Apple Homekit you can use the motion events from the sensors to trigger things like turning on lights when motion detected in a room.

This device works great for controlling the temp of my home. Setup was confusing as it didn’t work if you indicated that you had the correct wires. After a few hours of frustration it was setup correctly.

As others have mentioned, this is a very good thermostat but the Geofence feature is overly complicated. Geofence is a simple concept. When I am away from home my temperature drops to a setting I chose to save energy and money. When I return home, the thermostat should revert back to my schedule. The problem with this thermostat is that it forces you into a separate schedule to use the geofence, and that schedule only has 3 settings. The second Geofence schedule is completely unnecessary and it forces people to manually change thermostat temperature if they have more than three fixed settings during a week. Most people do use more than three settings during a full week. Eliminating the Geofence schedule and relying on one normal schedule would make this a five star thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome thermostat. This is my 1st smart thermostat and it has been a good experience for me. It connected to my wifi easily and has so many nice features. I did purchase extra room sensors so I could see any temperature differences in my house. I like the run time graph feature. Let's me easily see the difference from month to month and day to day run times. So much info to look at.

This Honeywell WiFi thermostat works great! It is easy to control from the unit or the app. Best of all you can use the small temperature sensors to help even out the temperature of your whole house. These temperature gages allow your furnace to heat and cool rooms like a more expensive zoned furnace. Best of all it saves you money on heating and cooling costs.

I installed it last year. first, it was giving me a hard time working since it needed C-wire adaptor. I did that and my board shortened and had to change the board.
Now, the thermostat acting very weird. when I set the temperature to 75, it works to reach 75, then I raise it to 76 to stop and suddenly the thermostat shows 76, and this goes on and on until 80. It never stops the AC until I raise it at least 5 degrees. So, basically, it gives me a headache to adjust the home temperature correctly since the reading are not accurate.
