Outstanding product and was absolutely more than I expected. I'd been hearing from the wife for quite sometime about the bedroom and main bath being warmer from the rest of the house. A mini split was suggested and my response was out of the question. Buddy of mine at work was telling me about the Honeywell T9 and the sensors. After some youtube "homework", I decided to get one. Got it home, installed it and set it up. We placed the sensor in the bed room and I programmed the schedules etc. After about 4 hours and much to my surprise, the house had "equalized". The T9 is in the hallway and the sensor in the bedroom is clear across the house. Additionally, the rest of the house was not considerably cooler than the priority room. I cross-checked the sensor and the thermostat with a fairly expensive digital HVAC thermometer and it was within .2-.4 degrees. Needless to say the real test would be the wife. After a week, I inquired and the results were..."I like it and can see a difference".
While I like the unit and that it runs on HomeKit it keeps renaming my house in HomeKit which it shouldn't do and is very annoying. Also the screen doesn't dim like its supposed to. Stays bright all night.
This was one a few thermostats that have remote room sensors. This is why I bought it. It works well enough, but the phone app occasionally loses connectivity. At that point I have to go through a complicated procedure involving chat with technical support in order to get everything reset. This is a major pain in the rear-end as it happens two or three times a year. Given a choice I would not purchase this again. Also, the app is not particularly user-friendly in regards to customization.
Really like this product, bought 2 T9's along with 2 remote sensors for each floor of our 2 story house. Easy install, just pay close attention to previous wiring on old thermostat, take pictures. Only reason giving it a 4 rating is the software's Geofencing can be a bit finicky. Not sure if software or device specific. Great product overall.
The T9 is a great package. Having the remote sensor provides the insight and ability to control the temperature is an area that was previously difficult.

Had nothing but issues with this thermostat (Honeywell T9). Honeywell was terrible to work with. Thermostat kept short cycling air conditioner and temperature would be spiritic. Honeywell wanted me to test unit with a volt meter before they would offer any replacement or remedy even though it was under warranty. In the end they would not replace or offer return. Spent multiple days and time trying to remedy without success. I eventually replaced with an Ecobee and have had no issues. Ecobee works perfectly. Don't waste your time, money, and frustration. I have a defective unit with multiple sensors which is useless. They would not replace or repair and I cant resell because its defective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
