Unable to connect to WiFi. Horrible process to fi.

Cannot connect to WiFi.
Was connected for a day, then lost connection and would not even show local WiFi networks. Customer service wanted me to send it to them then they would try and install new firmware. Then they would mail it back and then I would reinstall it. And then hopefully it would work. Did not want to wait a month to try that. Returned it and bought another thermostat from another company that connected to my WiFi just fine.

It wont connect to my home wifi because it is a 5ghz signal. This product needs a 2.4 ghz signal to connect.

Me: Need help with connecting T9 thermostat. First issue I live in a town house. Don't have access to the air-conditioned due to its located on the roof. So everything about change G wire to blue wire or use the adapter kit to connect inside the air-conditioner panel will not work. So purchased a 24 volt power supply to hook up between the C wire and the RC line. The thermostat came up said it was happy. Set all the setting adjusted temperature down to 60 degrees and the air conditioner still did not operate. I only have air-conditioner, no heater or other devices. Please help.

Honeywell Home Support: The 24 volts external transformer is only compatible with only heating systems, it will be necessary to run a new C wire or install a Wire Saver Adapter> There is an option that I honestly wouldn't recommend, the TH8732WF, this product has a lithium battery which means that can be installed with no C wire, but the issue is that the battery is only for backup, you will be able to install it and maybe to connect it to the WiFi, but because the battery is only for backup the connection will be constantly failing and the battery will die after a year damaging the WiFi card, because at the end all the WiFi thermostats requires a C wire

Me: Here the issue that is very confusing with what you are saying. The C wire is just for the WiFi, the other 3 wires is just for the Thermostat. When I purchase just the standard programmable HP unit that requires three wires and Batteries just to operate display it works great. So what you ae saying because I bought the best unit you have I need to run wire??

Me: I believe the issue is when you hook up RC then you are forced to slide the selector switch to the unit to down. Which changes the operation all together. I know on the other HP units you leave it up and ever thing works. You slide it down and it does not.
