I though that in Auto mode it would turn on the heat or air conditioning, whichever is needed to get to the set temperature, but it apparently does not. I got a lemon when I initially purchased the thermostat and it took several weeks to get a replacement, but the new one is working fine.
It’s unbelievable that an established brand (or formerly established as Honeywell Home) has this many bugs. The runtime feature doesn’t work and my wife couldn’t even create an account. Resideo is beta testing what other companies already have figured out.
Average thermostat with online capabilities. Others are a bit more intuitive than the T9. It works but some of the features are lacking at that price point. Use ability feels a little to dumbed down. When using the sensor the main unit shows the temp of the rooms you chose, which is not acceptable when trying to view temps of each room including the one that the thermostat is in. When priority rooms are chosen you should be able to view that rooms actual temp somewhere and then view the set temp somewhere else. Anytime I choose multiple rooms all of a sudden those rooms temps now match when viewing them at the sensor on the screen. Other thermostats that use sensors don't have this problem.
Thermostat works great with Alexa. Unfortunately, I thought my utility gave incentives for any smart thermostat, but it turns out that they don't partner with Honeywell. Great thermostat but no love from my electric service provider :(
This is my first smart thermostat. I am overall impressed with its operation, packaging, and documentation. I'm a bit disappointed that the HVAC run time history report in the app seems to take two days four it showed up . And now it seems to always be two days behind.
