We are fairly pleased with the thermostat, but the app to control it on my phone does not work well. Regardless of where I set up my Geofence, it reminds me every time I leave that I have left my Geofence and will not be able to make any changes, but I can. The app also randomly changes my settings.
Honeywell Thermostat was easy to install. It is a little difficult to understand the use. If you want to create a smart home and operate from a distance, you must have the honeywell wifi adapter.
This is a very good Thermostat. It holds the temperature that you set it at very "tightly", with very little fluctuation above or below the actual setting. Further, although we haven't had it too long (not in winter) it's doing exactly what we wanted and needed from a thermostat..
The only reason for a 4-Star rating is that it has so many different possible settings that it's a very complicated installation and I was extremely happy for the advice from other "raters" to get it professionally installed as it even took them two visits to get it installed and regulated to work 100%.
Bought this for the simple fact that I could control it remotely and observe the usage. I can one of those works great. The usage meter is sporadic and doesn’t work all the time.
I replaced my existing Honeywell T5 thermostat with the Honeywell T9. I got the one with one room sensor and ordered another one separately. I placed one room sensor in our family room and one in the main bedroom. These are the two rooms we spend the most time in. So far, we have been very comfortable temperature wise. It’s nice to be able to look on the phone app and check the temperature and humidity in the rooms with the sensors. The T9 has been in place for just one month so I don’t have enough data to tell if the HVAC is running less. I like the feature of being able to add multiple custom run times to the schedule. I would recommend this item.
