Love our new Thermostats. Needed to get two of them for a dual system for front and rear of the home. The app is very impressive and can be controlled from anywhere! We use remote sensors in all bed rooms and living spaces to get just the focus we need in the rooms we are in. We also like it’s from Honeywell and its history of thermostats design.

Cannot get the Geofencing to work properly on both phones. It worked just fine on my phone alone, but when we added my wife’s phone, it kept glitching and acting like no one was home even when we both were. Made sure that GPS was set to always allow on both phones and that background app refresh was allowed on both phones. Finally gave up on the Geo fencing after trying several times, and ended up deciding to just use a schedule. But I would like to use the Geo fencing ideally. Very frustrating.

I replaced a Honeywell T6 thermostat that I did not like. This one plugged directly into the T6 plate without the need to change any wiring. Super easy. This is a much more logical, easy to use thermostat that doesn’t require getting out the owners manual every time you want to change the programming.

This thermostat looks nice and the sensors do an excellent job of motion/occupancy sensing but it feels very far behind the ecobee. The ecobee provides near real-time performance data. The ecobee can operate on a schedule but intelligently override the schedule if you are away when you are normally home or vice versa. Meanwhile the Honeywell thermostat provides no easy access to temperature/humidity plots, just a bar graph of run time that is delayed by at least 48 hours. Youn can use geofencing or a schedule but not both. Very disappointing

My unit had been on the shelf since 2019. It needed an update as it would not recognize my home WiFi. Had to leave it hooked to my cell phone hotspot for two hours to update, then was able to hook to home WiFi.
The extra hour I was billed by the heating and cooling company trying to figure this out really stung.

Super helpful for non-traditional temperature control situations because you can override the detected connections and it will operate as if it has a Y1 or W1 wire for heating and cooling.
