This thermostat has been amazing! I highly recommend. I like the modes which are energy saving and I really enjoy the app features. I purchased two additional sensors and its useful to see the temperatures throughout the house. I have yet to have a problem with this thermostat and installation was easy, I am a single mom of two toddlers and through the chaos was able to install it within an hour and half.
It has great features. I particularly like the geofencing. The only thing is that it does not always recognize when I am home and gets stuck on away from home. I haven't figured out if there is something I can do to control/ fix that. I can still control it both at home and on my phone, so it is not a problem.
It is very basic, priority on areas doesn’t work. There are definetely better systems out there.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

8pm screen went BLANK... System Message "OFFLINE" Honeywell Support...aka No Support... directed to call tech after being advised to ck connection "c" & "r" then call back., guess what? called back to get voice mail office closed til next day @ 9am..called 9:15 am still got message office closed.. Called back at 11:30 am to be told connection needs to be between 24-30..or call HVAC REPAIR...WHATTTT....???? NOW DAY TWO STILL NO AIR IN NORTH CAROLINA.. THANK GOD IT'S COOL... EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED TO PRODUCT AND SUPPORT.

I like how the thermostat stores your last settings for cool or heat and being able to check the temp and control it remotely. However, for the price, you would expect it to be able to switch between cooling and heating i stead of having to do it manually.
Love this thermostat. Bought it for 2nd home to manage the heating & cooling remotely. The remote room sensors are great because we can monitor temperature in basement, main floor, 2nd floor and 3rd floor. The house was built in 1910 with plaster & lathe walls and the sensors communicate to thermostat. We also put one on covered back porch (no, they’re not intended for exterior). The C wire adapter was included and it was perfect for our installation.
I would recommend this to a friend!
