Very well designed thermostat but I do wish the scheduling was more visual as opposed to enter the information. The interface has a lot of potential but it still works.
Started at a 5-star. Easy install. Easy connect to wifi and added to app with other devices - all no problem. Honeywell Home app did not always recognize Home and Away so did not get max benefit from the schedule and Away heat / AC savings. At approx 60 days, the thermometer reading defaulted to 99 while actual temp in the 60's. 20's outside so no heat since max setting is 90 for heat. Called service - excellent support but took 1.5 hours to walk through all steps. Factory reset, wiring check all to no avail. Honeywell Resideo agreed to replace thermostat. Expecting an overnight ship due to winter weather, was told 2 weeks to receive new. Had to get local thermostat just to have heat in the house while awaiting replacement.
Wanted a thermostat I could control from my phone. Did some research, concluded the T9 was a best fit for me. I have heat only and the electrical was just two-wire. Found a power adapter and was lucky enough to easily run power. Figuring out where to connect the wires from the furnace wasn't as easy. Stumbled on a configuration menu on the thermostat, assigned values as best as I could figure out. Watched a lot of YouTube and read a bunch on the interwebs. Got it right first or second try. Very happy so far.
The app is glitchy. Never had a problem but it's not uncommon for it to go dark with a message "lost internet connection." Quickly remedied by reopening the app. Never bothered me much which says something because everything bothers me. It just deserves mentioning.
Schedules work great. Geofencing works great. Remote sensors work great. If this thing lasts, I'll be absolutely delighted!
