I love the WiFi capabilities of being able to control the thermostat from anywhere and to be able to set unlimited periods of change if necessary, our old one only had 3 adjustment periods and two on the weekends! I would like to be able to use the adaptive recovery feature but it is too erratic, turning on sometimes hours before it is called for if it is cold outside even if the differential between inside and the temp to be reached is only 6 degrees! End up frying in bed way before regular wake up time. I had to turn it off. Other than that feature I love the thermostat!
Lost connection with Apple HomeKit frequently, while thermostat still shows connected. Maybe have to reset the thermostat to reconnect. Geofence function doesn’t work for two users, so anyone leaves home, it shows away and the other will have to live in cold or manually adjust.
At first I was worried it was misreading the temperature, but it's a lot more sensitive, and I read about how newer thermostats will push temperature past what's set in order to save more energy in the long run by taking more time to cool down to desired temperature. All in all it actually is a really good thermostat. Just takes some getting used to when adjusting/calibrating, but once you leave it, you'll forget about it and it works just fine. I haven't tried the room sensors, but my place is too small anyways to really have an impact in my opinion, so I do not have a review for those.
Great thermostat, works well if you don't care too much about the 'smart' features, in particular the geofencing feature that detects if you are away or home. It is very inconsistent and very delayed if/when it does detect someone leaving the geofenced area. If you care about automated changing of the temperatures due to away/home, go with another brand.
Otherwise it did help (but not totally solve) our issues of heat dispersion in our house, and seems to have reduced our overall system run time noticeably.
I’ve been using the T9 with 2 sensors installed for two weeks now and the system works perfectly. One sensor is in the MBR and other is in the northern most room. I set the fan to run intermittently to balance the temperature in our single level 2550 ft2 house. All of the rooms now stay balanced. At night the sensor in the MBR controls the temp.
Love my four T9 Thermostats and the indoor sensors. But their Home app needs alot of TLC. It give you all the basic information, but lacks color and icons on the home page showing if the thermostats are heating or cooling. Does not show if the fan is running on manual. Honeywell's TCC app home page is highly refined using colored icons. Would be nice to see a high quality app match their high quality thermostats.
Love this device. Have sensor around the house that keeps us comfortable. Before we got this thermostat the bed room was always freezing but now we have it set up that at 10:00 the thermostat changes to the sensor in the bed room, so now the temperature in the bed room is always perfect when we are sleeping.
