Range of excellent options, exactly what I needed. I needed to sense the temperature in a separate room from the thermostat, and with there compatible room sensors I can do that.
I ordered a BRAND NEW T9 Smart Thermostat and received a used model. I tried to de-register the device, but couldn't and had to spend 45+ minutes on the phone with Honeywell do deactivate it. Upon deactivating it and registering it in my name, I soon found out that the heating me on the thermostat did not work and this was probably the reason for the initial return. The second problem I have is the app in regard to the scheduling process. It is very confusing and does not seem to properly operate sometimes. It makes it easier if you setup the GeoFence, but if you aren't wanting to allow Honeywell to access your location, I wouldn't recommend it. If you are looking for an easier device in regard to that problem, I would recommend Nest. The only reason I will stay with this product is because it links to my Ring App. The initial purchase to me seemed a bit scammy for a Fortune 500 Company to send me a used product when I purchased a new one. If you buy, please pay attention as to if your product was previously used.
Hard to wire and set up. I had to call in a professional to get it working with my new furnace. That cost me more than the thermostat! That said, love the functionality and the ability to monitor and set it remotely.
The T9 was a easy install and connected to the WiFi immediately. Set is easy and putting in a new schedule is a snap. I'm not sure about the sensor yet.
