This thermostat with the remote sensor solved the issue we have in our home with every room being a different temperature. We installed the remote sensor in the coldest room (bedroom above the garage) and programmed the thermostat to read from that when we go to bed. The house is much more comfortable now. Installation was the same as any thermostat but we had a C-wire already so didn't need the adapter. Set up and programming was very easy. The app was tricky to install but I like the security, just wish it had a better design. I love the fact that you don't need a smart hub to connect and control this thermostat, all you need is WiFi and a smartphone. Controlling the thermostat remotely is a plus too. The price is a little steep but overall I'm happy with the purchase. I'd like to use more sensors but those too are expensive. If you don't have a need for the remote sensors there are cheaper thermostat options for you.

It's pretty good though I wish it may be possible to custom-program how room sensors affect heating. Rooms heat up differently and for me it's important to stop morning heating when people bedrooms.

Geolocation doesn’t work

If your thinking of buying this model for the Geofencing feature, don’t bother. It works for a short period and then is stuck on away and no amount of rebooting or manipulation will change it. Otherwise it’s a good thermostat. The app isn’t great but minimally functional.

Temperature lag with the wireless remote sensor made for big temperature swings. This stat didn't have near the programming options as the Vision Pro 8000. The T9 can't even control a humidifier! It's also too small to cover where the old stat was on the wall. What were they thinking? At least they could have included a cover plate but it costs extra.
I decided to return the T9 and keep the Vision Pro 8000.
