Wifi connection won’t work unless connected to my phones hotspot. Support can’t tell me why or provide what ports it uses so I can try and see if it’s a firewall issue. They tell me it’s just my internet provider and I would have to call them, I did with no luck. The remote sensor is great and only thing making me keep this device, would have 5 stars if phone app would connect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used a variety of smart thermostats. Honeywell plays well with all configurations of HVAC. I rehab a house every year. Some flips, some rentals. This thermostat gives me best lockout options for an airbnb plus handles heat pumps + air. My/most hvac guys prefer honeywell. Fair price with the smart options I sometimes need. Can have all my houses on the same software and consistent thermostat everywhere regardless on config.

This thermostat with the room sensor is great. The thermostat is in the hallway but we are in the bedroom. Now our bedroom is the temperature that the thermostat is set at. Strongly recommend this product.
