It’s does a good job w/ the remote sensor if you have a single hvac zone but you want to control to another room in the house (an upstairs nursery w/ a downstairs stat in our case).
There are a few software quirks they could fix.
First, if you prioritize another area of the house using the remote sensor, the main display no longer shows the local temp. You have to go searching for it. It’s nice to see the prioritized area is maintaining setpoint, but I also want to know the local temp.
Second, if you password protect the stat you can bypass that security through the phone app. Any password protection should carryover to the phone.
I love it, I have the unit in the entryway hall, sensors in the Livingroom, master bedroom, grandkids room, and the backroom. I have the temperature set and it holds it to the occupied room. Living alone the room I'm in is held to temperature. On colder nights I'll ask alexa the room temp I'm in if my legs are cold alexa make the temperature whatever and its done. I have a voice setting ,alexa I'm cold, alexa responds put socks and a sweater on but for you I'll raise the temp 2 degrees and its done until bed time. One of my grandkids said alexa what is the Livingroom temperature I'm cold. She responded the temp and told her to puts socks and a sweater on. Enjoy it. I do.
Unit works as expected and the WiFi controls work without any issue. My wireless router is in the same room as the thermostat. Comes with hardware to install in drywall, but does not come with any hardware to install on a junction box. To install on a junction box I had to make my own wall plate out of 1/4” lauan plywood.
We got a thermostat and a total of 3 sensors. I work from home so we figured madter nedroom. Office. And living room. The thermostat itself is constantly off, so o did some googling and saw that they can be adjusted 3 degrees (ours was off 6). We figured wed mentally adjust the other 3. But even then its just inconsistent. We set it for 67. Which would be 70 - and its 74 in the room its supposed to be 70 (67) in. Not to mention, it just does its own thing. If i look in the app for the "target room" thats generally a dofferent temp that what its set to go to. Wr just cant win.

The setup options are limited. The issue is that if I want to use geofencing mode, I'm not able to set different temperatures at different times of the day while I'm at home. I use Arlo cameras and I can combine a schedule with the geofencing option.

When trying to prioritize between remote sensor and thermostat it seems to have a mind of its own. I have to keep checking to be sure it stays where I left it and iften I have to change the setting. The first night I had it running it was not adjusti
Thermostat will not pair with remote sensor. Honeywell tech support first identified the problem as a sensor mismatch. After returning the remote sensor and purchasing two more sensors (from different sellers) that would not pair with the T-9 smart thermostat tech support determined thermostat had a "defect" and should be returned for exchange. Only problem is I rewired furnace for this "smart thermostat" and returning it for replacement will disable my hvac system for the time it takes to return and replace the unit. Not worth the trouble.

The ongoing issue I'm having is the app constantly logs-off. While logged off, geofencing does not work. I'm not saving the money I had hoped for. Also, during install, it was very difficult to get the app to register the device. I have terrific wifi
