It’s almost a great product

The thermostat works well. However, I was very disappointed with the installation process and the lack of HomeKit compatibility. There are no wall covers for this particular model and it has been on the market for over a year and a half. Every review I read from 2019 stated that the T9 would be compatible with HomeKit by the end of 2019. Very disappointed.

I had 3 9580 thermostats, 2 in old home and one in a vacation home. Builder installed 2 T9’s in new home.. Now I need to use two different mobile apps remotely use! Software for T9 freezes. Software for T9 needs fixing. 9580 much more stable.

We love our new thermostat. We love the features of being able to schedule according to when we are at home, away and sleeping as well as being able to make certain rooms a priority. Our house temp is much more comfortable now and we feel like we will be saving a lot on our electricity bill with the room sensors. We also love that we can adjust the temp from our phones even if we are away.
It was very easy to install. We had the C wire connector so that was not an issue but it seemed to be straightforward instructions if we didn't. I took pictures of the old thermostat connections. I mis-connected one wire because I did not realize there were 3 letters on it. Easy to read instructions.

It was difficult to regulate temperatures in our nursery and toddler’s room. We tried partially closing or opening vents in rooms and elsewhere near the thermostat in the hallway, but there would be a noticeable temperature difference in the bedrooms. It was either too cold or too warm with the bedroom doors closed compared to elsewhere in the home.
The T9 Smart Thermostat with remote sensors solved this problem and prioritized bedroom temperature comfort at night. Now everyone in the house has better sleep and we’ve even noticed fewer crying events on our baby monitors. A smart thermostat with remote sensors should be the new standard in every home.

Won’t connect to my primary WiFi. Used my guest WiFi. Install was a little involved with having to fund and connect a C wire. But overall straight forward.

Smart thermostat to get!!

My master bedroom would never cool below 78 degrees in summer, guess the main reason was that the thermostat was near kitchen space and it used to read temperature around that area and if it was as per thermostat setting, bedroom would never get enough cool air. Was looking for inexpensive solution to fix it and this turned out really well, I have put the included remote sensor in my master bedroom and now it cools whatever l am setting on my thermostat, my wife is very happy.
Pros - not expensive, easy to install and program, was able to do it in around 45 mins, has lot of advanced features like geofencing
Cons - only gripe is app could have been more intuitive
But overall extremely happy with it!!!

Gas heating systems need to know

Is not Compatible with the gas heating systems after installing this thermostat it’s been a total nightmare the fan will not true off the A/C is not Displayed on the thermostat You must decrease the temperature to 50° to actually get the AC to work and he must increase the temperature to 70° to get the heater to work.
If we could have retuned we would have.
Customer service was also extremely unhelpful and had extremely high call volume due to Covid we have still not been able to get in contact with her
