simple, easy to use thermostat that has a geofencing feature which is very nice. In addition, the remote room sensors make sure the areas you actually use are comfortable without wasting energy to over cool or heat a hallway where the main thermostat is for example. The app is easy to use but sometimes controlling the temperature on the touch screen won't trigger an event, simple solution to this is to go on the app and change it.

I’ve had an ecobee4 and prefer it because the “away” status is triggered when no occupancy is detected. This unit offers geofencing to set the away/home status, but IMO this is not nearly as good as using occupancy sensing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
