Perfect product for my needs. Our previous thermostat was located in the upstairs hallway. The warm air from downstairs rose up the stairway into the hallway and with all the upstairs bedroom doors closed, the thermostat wouldn’t trigger for the cold air in the bedrooms. The bedrooms stayed cold because they were not being monitored for temperature, only the hallway was. I was able to replace with the Honeywell unit in the hallway and put the remote in the bedroom so now when it gets cold in the bedroom, the heat kicks on for just long enough to warm the air there. The installation was easy and saved me from re- wiring into a bedroom.

I wanted to upgrade to this from a Honeywell T4 thermostat that came with my newly built home. It was a simple plug and play since they both fit on the same dock. So easy! The features it provides are amazing including automatic switching between heating and cooling to maintain a set temp between seasons, phone app to control from anywhere, and easy to ready touch screen. I would highly recommend this to anyone,

The instructions were very clear that I needed to connect a C wire to power this thermostat.
So far, it's working flawlessly.
This is a replacement for a non-wifi Honeywell thermostat which replaced a Nest which was causing the furnace to cycle. (previous homeowner didn't add C wire)
