T9 was easy to install and operate. It has the functionality to control my furnace and AC. I also like the remote sensor with motion sensing to set active rooms. I only wish the base unit had the motion tech to avoid having to install a remote sensor in the same space.
Ok, good stuff about T9 can be find on the manufacturer website. Set up was with some geek ups. Without phone app it is impossible to set proper time and proper time zone. Wifi: hard to connect, have to try and try with perfect signal. when connected time zone was off and no way to change it. Only after factory reset everything start to work normal, wheather forecast doesn't work from time to time and is not accurate.
Easy to set up but no so easy to use with the "My Total Comfort Connect" app. The T9 doesn't have a CRC ID, and I had to contact Honeywell to learn that the "Honeywell Home" app is the one to use as opposed to the "My Total Comfort Connect" app. Is there a "Honeywell Home" desktop app that can be used for this? For the rest of the T9, it's easy to set up and program, and the night light in the hallway is helpful.
Works great and has lots of features. I like especially that it averages out the temp from all sensors if you so select - great feature. Only undesirable feature is that the display is WAY too bright! You can adjust it from 10 to 100 %, but the problem is 10% is what you normally need during the day. Therefore the nice dimming feature at night is worthless. But they do allow you to turn it off at night which is your only other option.
We chose this thermostat for its clean and minimal design, and we love the ease of having control of the climate in our home with the simple touch screen and remote functions.
Recommended by our HVAC supplier over the Nest due to Nest having common problems with wiring detection. The geofencing works well, but when it’s set to geofencing, scheduling is limited (can only set one sleep/awake schedule when geofencing is on!). We wake up at 530 on weekdays and somewhere between 7-9 on weekends - it would be nice to not sweat those last few hours due to the heat turning on at 530 on weekends. You can always switch to schedule and avoid using geofencing at all to bypass this. Not as many features as a Nest but you pay more for it - I hope Honeywell has intentions for digital updates soon to make it have more features, such as smart alerts for energy savings, more scheduling options when using geofencing, etc. We’ve used the app to adjust heating when we’re out of town and the weather changes drastically to keep our pets comfortable and avoid frozen pipes! It was a great purchase for us, despite the lack of features, which I hope are coming soon!
