This refrigerator is the most cost effective unit I found for a cabinet depth refrigerator. It's been in service for about one month and I am particularly pleased with its quiet operation. I do wonder about the logic of the door handles not being fingerprint resistant while the doors are resistant.

Love my new fridge. The Slate color is the best of all worlds and is so rich looking! The shelving and drawers are provide plenty of area. Only issue I have is that small items could slip down the rear of the fridge due to a small gap.

I've had the GZS22IYNFS for only three-plus weeks. It's working fine, with present temperatures for refrigerator and freezer appropriate. The water-and-ice dispenser have performed without a problem.

Love the no fingerprint door. Love the alarm. It is counter depth so it doesn’t take up a lot of room. Love the many drawers in the refrigerator. I just wish the freezer was a little larger.

Counter depth fits in better

We switched out our old huge model for this counter depth one which saves us about 5-6” of floor space, as well as being visually more to scale with our kitchen. The interior lights are fantastic and we can see inside much better than our old LG. The unit is not as quiet as I’d hoped. Good ice maker. New stainless no fingerprint finish is, so far, much better than our last one. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase.

Great fridge -- nicely designed, nicely assembled

This is a replacement fridge for us, in use about a month or so now, after our 2001 top-freezer fridge died. This GE fridge looks clean and sleek, and the smudge resistant finish is an absolute necessity, especially with kids. The look inside is nice as well, with good lighting. The layout and hardware (shelves & drawers) inside are good, allowing enough change to easily match how we want to store foods.
The fridge has done fine so far (1 month is a short time I know) in cooling, no issues there. The icemaker works well. It's taken a little bit to get used to the front door water dispenser, but that's true with every fridge right?
All in all, we've been well satisfied with the fridge so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got this refrigerator to replace an older GE. This one is loud when running (which is almost always) and when the water kicks on...it sounds like someone hit it with a hammer. After 3 weeks the inside of freezer is already getting ice on the glass shelves and door. These issues actually seem to be getting worse. Never had any of these issues with the older GE. I guess you can spend the extra thousand or two to get the Profile which may be better, but I thought this was expensive enough. In this case the old saying is true. They don’t make em like they used to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
