Buyer Beware

We purchased this particular fridge because it fit the space. The product is quite noisy. The biggest issue is the fluctuation in temperature despite the unit being set at the manufacturers recommended settings. So items in the fridge will freeze and items in the freezer thaw and then refreeze. There have been 3 repairmen out so far and there has been no resolution to this issue. This product was purchased new so I expect it to function as such. There shouldn't be icicles hanging from the ice maker and ice in big clumps that won't dispense. I shouldn't have to throw away mayo, sour cream, etc. because it's either frozen or separated because it has frozen and thawed.
I'm really hoping for a resolution from GE about these issues or hope that they send a repair person that's willing to take the time to figure out what the issue is.

Ice maker died in 30 days

I loved my first 30 days with this fridge. After that, it became loud and stopped making ice.

This fridge is a great counter depth option. It’s quiet. We are happy with the amount of food we can store. It’s blue light in the water dispenser is subtle and makes trips to the fridge at night easier. The water dispenser drips water EVERY time it’s used. It doesn’t drip when not in use. Overall a solid fridge. We are happy.

Dead on arrival

Unfortunately brand new refrigerator didn’t work. After 24 hours was questioned if I unplugged, re set breaker? I thought seriously but went ahead and did both. Nothing. So very frustrated after one month wait now I get to wait one more.

didn't work!!

Frig was delivered and plugged in. Was NOT cold by that evening. Service came back next day. Appears the closed freon system was faulty but this repairman was not certified to repair. After waiting a week for delivery, we have now waited 8 more days for a certified repairman. This is unacceptable. I would be reluctant to recommend purchasing a GE appliance to anyone.

Truly the worst refrigerator I have ever owned

Haven't even had the refrigerator for a year, repair has been out three times because the dispenser drips (runs) water down into tray which goes onto front of fridge. Ugly hard water stains. The plastic in the ice dispenser mechanism has broken off and found pieces 4 times in the bottom of the cups. Customer service/relations with GE is a joke.
