Noisy frige

This refrigerator is very noisy while running. It is also NOT COUNTER DEPTH. It sticks out 5/6 inches from the counter. Would rather have had a four door model, but our builder picked this grouping of appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No circulation and food goes bad

This fridge has horrible circulation and our food keeps going bad. I hate this fridge and can’t wait to get another one. Also the filters are so expensive and you can’t buy a no brand one because they put a chip in the filter so they only work with the name brand one. Not worth it. I would say keep looking at others

If your water doesn't need to be filtered, you can install your by-pass plug.

Reduced Capacity & No Manual

Our 18 year old GE 25 cf Side-by-Side Refrigerator died so we had to buy a new one. The new 25 cf GE Side-by-Side won't fit our cabinets and kitchen layout, so we bought the 21.8 cf Side-by-Side. The new 21.8 cf refrigerator has almost exactly the same outside dimensions (an inch or two shorter), but obviously less capacity. The new machine is louder that our 25 cf machine. Also, it is ridiculous and unacceptable that GE does not provide a hardcopy Owner's Manual, which I am told by "GE Cares" is only available online. So when we sell the house, we cannot provide a manual to the new owner.
