Great First Impressions

Not giving 5 stars because I just got it. But first impressions are good. Inside is very bright. If you are coming from a larger fridge then the space inside will feel tighter obviously. I was able to fit everything that was in my normal size Samsung french door into the GE, and the GE isn’t a huge, ugly, hulking appliance the samgsung was. And it makes ICE. Not the bad racist ICE currently terrorizing people here, actually ice in the door. You hear that Samsung?

Great Fridge, Terrible Finish

My husband and I were completing a home renovation and decided to leave the plastic on the fridge for a layer of protection. The fridge was kept in a climate controlled environment. When the home project was finished, I decided to gently peel the plastic off of the fridge to complete the installation. THE FINISH DISAPPEARED OFF THE FRIDGE IN JUST A COUPLE GENTLE PULLS. Take this as a warning. It does not say to pull off plastic ASAP, but now that I’m left with a brand new DAMAGED fridge, I wish someone would have told me. There is nothing they will do to repair this manufacturers issue. I am VERY dissatisfied. I bought this in a bundled that included a microwave, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The finish is fine on all products besides my refrigerator. Take this from someone whose kitchen is complete and now has to live with this eyesore called my refrigerator. DONT DO IT!! (Or if you do, pull plastic off immediately!!!!)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We replaced our old favorite with this model. Love the look, the no fingerprint and the side by side. The old one had more depth and space so this will take some getting used to. Tried to adjust the temp. but the instructions aren't helpful. We will see how this GE compares to our old Kenmore.
