Much smaller cubic capacity than claimed!

I purchased this refrigerator because I needed a counter depth and more cubic feet. I had a 17.2 cu ft. fridge and I needed more space. Although the GE one states it is bigger overall, it is not. The side by side makes you lose a lot of usable space, add in the water and ice machine and I actually have less room. It is frustrating that I have to pay more for a counter-depth and I get a lot less space. I would pass on the side by side style. In my opinion it is just not worth the price .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the same refrigerator sixteen years ago. Side by side the new one GZS22IYNFS is of lesser quality. It appears GE has skimped on the shelving inside and on the doors. There are now TWO bins in the freezer replacing a shelf which had more room to store than the bin. The actual depth of the refrigerator is less than the one sixteen years old. I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of workmanship and the depth size compared to my old unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love it! It provides lots of space for our food items and has three baskets, where most have only two. It is counter depth, so it doesn't stick out and is a space saver. The noise is minimal compared to my previous refrigerator. It is everything we need it for. We highly recommend this refrigerator!

Love the counter depth - barely smaller than a standard size, can only notice on the door (fits fewer items). Nice overall fridge, four stars is only because the ice maker is a little awkward to manipulate if wanting to remove for ice.
