So far we love our new fridge! I specifically chose this one over other competitors because the glass shelves could be arranged in multiple configurations, allowing us to really personalize this unit for our specific needs. Not to mention, I wanted GE because of its long lasting reputation for reliability. I also love that it is counter depth, but still has sufficient space to fit everything we need (and we are a family of 6). By the way, I just love the color! It is so beautiful in our newly remodeled kitchen!

Inside layout is nice. Dimming feature on the light works very well when opened at night. Fingermark resistant stainless is a great feature.

Simple and sleek

I love the look of this refrigerator. Counter depth and sleek. The only thing I wish it had is an easier access to ice bin in the freezer and apparently there is no reset button or green light indicator on the ice maker. Every manual I pull up says it should. I really love this in my kitchen.

Great Alternative to an armoire style fridge

We got this to replace an ancient Upper/Lower unit that was on it's last legs. I've had an armoire style fridge with a freezer drawer for years, but my Mom didn't want that style. She did not like the idea of bending down to use the freezer. This side by side unit is a great alternative. There is a lot of space inside and numerous bins on both the fridge and freezer doors, including 2 wide upper bins that can easily hold milk cartons and large jugs. Another big reason we chose this model, is that the floor to cabinet height was only 69" and many units wouldn't fit in this space--that's something you have to watch if you have a pre-existing space in an older house. This one fit perfectly. It's also counter-depth, so it doesn't stick out too far (like our old ones did). Its got filtered ice and water in the door, which is great, so we can ditch the bottled water purchases. And the water filter itself is very accessible as well.
The only wrinkle was that the home depo installers were clueless about how to hook up the existing water line, which was a copper coil, and not only did they not hook it up but gave all kinds of wrong info about installation requirements and code too--it didn't help that they didn't speak English either. However, this was not all their fault as I has specified on the order form that we had an old, yet existing, water line, but it was copper coil. A local plumber took care of it the next day.
