Hi there- We apologize that this refrigerator is louder than you expected. Modern refrigerators have new features and are more energy efficient than older ones. The foam insulation used in new models has excellent insulating capabilities and is very energy efficient, however it is not as sound absorbent as previously used fiberglass insulation. Hard surfaces such as ceramic tile, vinyl or hard wood floors, walls and kitchen cabinets may make these operating sounds more noticeable. This GE refrigerator model #GZS22IYNYHFS is perfect for my kitchen! Love the look and organizational set up it offers. It was set up in less than 15 minutes by two gentlemen who were very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this refrigerator - buy, buy, buy! 👍🏻
