GE Refrigerator Review

The purchase of the GE Refrigerator has been such a disappointment. There are several reasons for this: 1) the ice maker drops ice in the freezer; 2) there are always ice crystals and little pieces of ice in the freezer; 3) one of the drawers in the refrigerator broke the first week we had the appliance; 4) the water dispenser drips after each use; and, 5) the motor is loud when it runs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ice maker problems

This refrigerator is beautiful but the ice maker ruins it. The ice dispenser is plastic and not strong enough to dispense the cubes when it is full. It clogs up the when full and cannot dispense. We have to manually take the ice out. I have another GE refrigerator with a metal arm that dispenses the ice and it works beautifully.

Icemaker problems

This GE does not make enough ice for a family of two that work full time. Very disappointed. The front grill was also broken during installation.

Loudest appliance I have owned

I cannot stand how loud this refrigerator is! It is louder than my dishwasher or clothes washing machine. This was purchased during COVID and cannot be returned. If I could throw it through the showroom window I would.

good. Getting used to less space, but things are definitely more organized. Surface is
pretty print resistant, but the handles show EVERYTHING, needing to be wiped often. Was
excited about ice and water, old fridge had water only...ICE maker is loud, the first time I heard it I was like "what the heck is that?" Overall, everything ok but nothing to shout about.

This refrigerator is great! It has a brushed stainless steel appearance and is also magnetic which is a plus. The lights inside are helpful, and the shelves are adjustable. The freezer has shelves and some baskets that pull out. The top shelf is perfect for your ice cream, and the door compartments are wide. The front of the freezer side has an ice and water dispenser. There is also a thermostat that you can adjust for both the refirgerator and the freezer. Overall, I am very happy with this refrigerator. The only thing I don't like is that when you shut the door to the fridge, it doesn't close unless you push it hard emough.
I would recommend this to a friend!
