The refrigerator looks great. I have not owed a side by side model in years. After getting this one, I'm reminded why they are so functional. Very pleased

From the first day of install the ice make failed we had to wait almost 2weeks for a repair man he ordered new parts now we wait another 2 weeks to get them installed. The refrigerator side doesn’t get cold enough. We hope that this is all that happens to it. Not Happy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's beautiful and has nice features. Plenty of room for just the two of us. Wish the On/Off switch for the ice maker were more convenient. (Who thought it was a good idea to put it BEHIND the ice bucket?) A simple digital button on the front panel would be much more convenient.

Good frig, could be better with some minor changes

Only had this unit for 4 days, but no out of box issues. I needed to adjust the height of the front wheels as the frig was a little slanted, I was surprised not to find that information in the manual. I found it in a google search. Easy to do if you can open the doors wide, other wise a bit of a struggle. Also, unless the freezer door is wide open you can't remove the ice bucket. That could be fixed by eliminating a couple small door shelves at the top. Since I can't open my door wide enough the bucked is not removable. I wish the keypad was backlit. Without a bright light you can't see which button is which. Shelves are fairly easy to adjust. If this unit lasts as long as the GE frig it replaced I'll be happy.

GE Freezer Side by Side water filling feature

The water filler section of the freezer door should be longer for today's water bottle sizes, otherwise, everything works great. Freezers in side by sides are on the small side, but okay for smaller families.

The GE refrigerator model (Countertop) purchased is a perfect fit for my kitchen space needs. Also, it is a well functioning and quiet running unit.
