Black slate paint chips off !

Hi, we bought this refrigerator from our local appliance shop. Is there a recall on the black slate ? The finish is very soft and scratches very easy as paint chips off. The touch up paint GE sent us just makes scratches more noticeable. The front and sides have chipped black slate paint /scratches where the black slate is stripped and when I remove the shelves/ drawers to clean the door get paint chipped/ scratched as well. The mini shelf below the water dispensers paint is completely worn off. The fridge looks many years old. These scratches are permanent. What can you do for me please ? No more touch up plaint please. So disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To clean a Fingerprint Resistant Black Slate finish, clean the interior/exterior surfaces with warm water, mild soap or detergent and a soft or microfiber cloth to avoid damage. Using one of the three approved cleaning methods mentioned above can often help reduce the appearance of the scratches. For heavy or more visible scratches, there is not an approved repair method to cover the scratches.

I would've given it 4 stars, if the Humidifier Bin worked. Also, on Freezer side, why is there a shelf one has to remove in order to set the Ice Maker on ON or OFF; it should be more accessible. I'll have to call regarding the broken plastic piece which lets the ice come out; one Bottom Freezer shelf is missing, and most importantly, a little bit of water is leaking down from the inside top part of Freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid Modern Refrigerator at Reasonable Price

Not very much into the "internet of things" as it relates to fridges. This is a solid appliance without too many frills that is priced well. Constructed well and looks good.

Great high end look

Replaced Viking unit with this GE. I was concerned it would not fit in with the other Viking appliances in the kitchen, but this looks great and is better performing than the old refrigerator. Very happy!
