We love how quiet it is. Also how much space it has inside. We are able to fit a whole frozen pizza in freezer!

Good Side by Side

Purchased this unit to replace an eight year old GE Cafe side by side in which the compressor failed. Reserearched the new model as regular GE, Cafe and Profile. Except for the handles, there was absolutely no signifant difference in the three models. Swapped the handles from dead fridge to match other Cafe appliances in our kitchen. Perfect fit! Fair price for the new regular GE unit. Profile and Cafe models were priced at double the price of basic GE unit. Same compressor and components. Might be a difference in other appliances or refrigerators from basic to Cafe, but not on this side by side. Otherwise just had the new refrigerator delivered and assume it should work for years. I think it has a compressor with an inverter, but can find no information to confirm that fact. I understand the inverter causes the compressor to run at variable speeds for greater effeciency, but just learned of this feature from the repairman trying to fix my Cafe unit. Hope the compressor lasts longer than eight years.

GE Side-by-side Refrigerator

I am so happy that the GE side-by-side refrigerator that I purchased has all the same features as a similar one I bought in 2002. I loved that refrigerator so much but this new one has more inside lighting and is fingerprint resistant. Thank you GE for great products! I am a very pleased customer!
