Awful proprietary garbage

Moved into a new home where this fridge was left for us. Appears they force you to buy their overpriced brand filters. My family never has and will continue to never buy any GE products. I will either sell or junkyard this piece of trash before I buy a filter under force.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great refrigerator!

I used this product for 1 1/2 weeks while I was waiting for a 28.5 CUft Profile side by side GE refrigerator to be exchanged for due to the fact that I didn't realize that I had a full refrigerator enclosure and thought that I had a counter depth refrigerator enclosure . The fridge was spectacular! The new GE Profile side by side is also spectacular! I am very very pleased with both refrigerators!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great fridge

Among side-by-side fridges in this price range, this had the best combination of price vs. features, such as number of shelves in the freezer and how the space is organized in the fridge side. I have owned it for a little over a month and am quite happy with the purchase so far.

The side by side design is a welcome change!

So far, this refrigerator has delivered. The side by side design allows for a much better view of what is in inventory than our previous bottom freezer. The temperature controls are very easy to manage. The temperate of the water is not as cold as our previous refrigerator; however, the ice maker and options are prominent.

Smaller fridge with useful space. Love the ice and water dispenser. Also very useful three drawers for meat, cheese, and veggies...very large. So far, operating perfectly.

Nice looking regrigerator. Keeps temperature accurately in refrigerator and freezer. Somewhat small refrigerator compartment because of counter depth. Freezer could use bins as opposed to flat shelves as frozen food slips out easily off the flat shelves.
