Excellent and Available Replacement

Thia unit is a full featured counter depth unit. Cost was fair. I was able to purchase and get quick delivery as my old unit was failing. Ice maker works great and the built in thermometer for both refrigerator and freezer is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the Job

We had replaced this with the older model that failed after 5 years, heres to hoping this lasts longer. The price is what drove this purchase. Its just the newer model to what we previously had. Its a bit smaller but it does the job

Poor Experience - Not Cooling/Freezing 7 weeks old

Cosmetically and functionally this refrigerator has been great; however, after only 7 weeks, the fridge stopped cooling. I am in a household of 7 (5 young kids), had to wait several days for a technician to arrive. He determined the evaporator coil was bad, took 11 more days for parts (about 10 of them) to arrive and be installed. Two weeks later, the fridge wasn't cooling again. Technician came out, two days later, and discovered faulty heater. Parts ordered, repair not scheduled for another 12 days. This is unacceptable for a brand new fridge. I'm now contacting GE to see how to get a replacement for this lemon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roomy and a great ice maker

Like the side by side style. Has roomy door, holds milk and juice. Shelves move out and in easily. Have a hard time understanding how the actual and set thermostats are to to operated.
