Having had it one day, it so far is working well. It is slightly smaller than the one I replaced, but it seems adequate. I do like the location of the lighting, in front as opposed to the rear.

I know french door fridges with the low down freezer are all the rage these days but I've always liked the simplicity of a side-by-side one. Especially because you can actually SEE all the stuff in your freezer rather than it getting buried way down at the bottom of the drawer. This fridge replaced a similar design Kenmore Elite that we had for about 15 years so I hope this one holds up at least as long. Build quality seems good and despite being counter depth there is plenty of space for our family of 4. Given our kitchen configuration, we really needed a counter-depth fridge otherwise it sticks way out. My only complain so far is that my kids sometimes forget to close the doors, I think because you have to push them a little harder than our old fridge. Overall very happy with this purchase though. fingerprint-less surface is a big improvement over our last one.

Works great for us

We needed a side by side instead of a freezer drawer for accessibility purposes. This one isn't huge, but there's only 2 of us, and it has been working great for all of our needs. Many other houses in our neighborhood have had issues with smart fridges in their electrical outlets so we are happy we went in this direction instead.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice looking frig- makes high pitch ringing sound

I really like this refrigerator, with the exception of the high pitch ringing that I hear when it is cooling. It is maddening. Will be calling GE about this asap.

Good Refrigerator
