As the cost of all appliances has risen over the years I think we purchased a good unit to replace our 15 year old GE fridge. Appears to be a solid unit. Only deduction is that is a little noisy, when home is quiet there's a mimicking of running water from this unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It holds more food than I thought!

I had a GE refrigerator that lasted 25 years and still going, and another one 14 years that had to have everything fixed. When it froze up the coils again, I finally gave up and purchased this one. Since I don't have a big family, I decided to purchase this counter depth model which is a little smaller, but figure I will get used to it and am enjoying the extra space to get through the doorway. right next to it.
This model is very well lit with LED lighting that comes on gently. Nice feature. Also I like seeing the actual interior temperature so I don't have to keep thermostats inside. A big improvement is the temperature over just a number of 0-9.
The water flows pretty well and I can stand my glass on the shelf without holding it while it fills with water/ice. It is very quiet and I only hear an occasional sound when the ice drops in the bucket. It did not drip water down the front. I like that the interior of the water/ice is grey so the calcium water spots do not show. My old one was black and was always spotted with lime scale which made it look dirty.
I wanted the GE brand again because they made bigger ice buckets which is a big complaint with other brands. I was disappointed when I saw this had a smaller one upon arrival. Of course it has to be smaller since it is five inches less depth on counter depth model. However, it does make continual ice and so far does not overflow ice like my last refrigerator did.
It really keeps my food cold, unlike my old one which fluctuated a lot causing freezer burn. The shelves are pull out which is nice but probably won't use. I wish the veggie bin was bigger and pulled out further. Now I have to remove veggies to get to the rest. Bad design. More people are eating more veggies these day so a bigger bin would be nice.
I learned from reading the manual that you cannot use stainless steel cleaner because it will damage the finish. They recommend only a soft cloth with mild soap. So far I have not had any fingerprints. And absolutely no fingerprints on the handles which I touch all the time. It is a slightly burnished finish which is still brighter than my older one. I refuse to own a stainless steel appliance unless it is fingerprint proof. First thing I look for. Mine did not have hinge covers on the top and am trying to find out what happened because the screws on top are sharp.
I am hoping this new fridge, even though smaller, will hold up a lot better than my last one but so far I am pleased with the features it has. I bought an extended warranty just in case.

Save space but keep the storage.

This is just what my family needed(family of 4), has plenty of storage and takes up less space in our kitchen than our old whirlpool(which had okay fridge space but no freezer space). Has ice, crushed or cubed, and I love they added a locking mechanism to keep little hands from changing settings, or spilling out ice and water. Would definitely recommend.

New fridge

Overall the fridge is a good model. Has great storage, get cold very quickly after install. Features outside are slick and very sturdy. What I didn’t like about the fridge is the wheels on the back. They are towards the middle and not on the side like the front ones. This make it hard to properly balance the fridge. Overall it’s works great.
