For a door squeak, if the sound is coming from the hinges that can often be resolved by lubricating the top and bottom hinges, then working the door back and forth until the noise goes away. Paraffin wax, petroleum jelly and mineral oil could be used, as those are safe around food. Regarding ice being left after you use the crushed ice, we do expect a small amount of frost, snow or ice may form on the door of the flap in the ice chute. This is usually normal and will evaporate. You can also clean it from the chute using a warm damp sponge. If there is always frost, you may want to operate the dispenser with the door open and ice bucket out to see if the flap is closing completely. If it’s not, service may be needed.
