New Fridge and door won't shut

I like the size of fridge but brand new and refridge side door won't shut.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely love!!!

Skeptical of going back to a counter depth side by side frig because of the loss of space but so glad we did! This frig fits perfectly in our space and I love the fingerprint resistant finish. We had stainless before and it always looked streaked. It has all the space we need and I love having the shelves and baskets for freezer rather than the cavern of the French door freezer. This is much easier to locate and organize food.

Ice/Water dispenser work well. Inside lighting is very good. Well designed use of space considering it's counter top depth.

Tilts backwards, flimsy shelves

Pros (4 stars): We like the smudge-resistant finish, the storage, door alarm, and being able to see the temperatures and filter status.
Cons (2 stars): The shelves (glass ones and the plastic ones on the door) are considerably flimsier and less substantial than the ones in the (2011) GE fridge we just replaced.
The icemaker (when making and dispensing ice) is very loud (again, compared to our "old" GE fridge).
And we have no idea why the entire unit has to tilt backwards at an angle?? (Looking at it from the side, the bottom appears about 2" deeper than the top.) I asked the delivery person to level it, and he said it had to be that way so the doors would shut. (What?!) I said, So why did they design the interior at an angle, too? The shelves all tilt down toward the back, as well. If you set a marble on the shelf, it would quickly roll to the back.

The front of the refrigerator should only be 1/4 inch higher than the rear, not 2 inches higher. We recommend using a level to measure it. Please review page 27 in the installation instructions for leveling.

Totally awesome - one small issue

I love everything about this refrigerator. But just a warning, the freezer door needs to be opened a full 180° to slide out the ice bucket. My smaller kitchen has a counter along the side 10 inches away and the door will not open all the way and I cannot slide out the ice bucket if I would have to. Fortunately the refrigerator comes on wheels and rolls out very easily, which is another great feature of it, and I have plenty of extra water line to roll it out if I would have to get to the ice bucket. Other than that the refrigerator arrived in impeccable perfect condition. I've never seen something packed so well and protected. It has a beautiful finish and a beautiful light on the water dispenser when you get your water or ice. I love this refrigerator.

We love our new refrigerator. We were concerned about the smaller size but the way it is set up with shelves and draws, there's quite a bit of space. The one minor issue is the ice maker is pretty loud. Wish they could figure out a way to make it quieter so it doesn't startle a person when dropping ice.
