So far we are very pleased with our GE side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. It is a good fit for our 30” built-in space. The interior is well lit and storage space adequate. I would recommend this it to family & friends!

Worst Ice Maker ever.

I have bought many a fridge in my life time. I have never had a problem with getting Ice through the door. The Ice maker on this one sucks so bad, you have to pull the drawer out almost every time just to get ice. The thing that spins to put the ice out the door is to high off the layer of ice to reach the cubes. If the drawer is not full to the top and only 1 or 2 layers thick then the ice does not move forward and out the door. It seems that if your cubes aren't at least 3/4" thick then anything smaller will not be pushed out. I am sorry I ever bought this GE. As soon as I have enough money saved up I am getting rid of this fridge and getting a new one, but this time I will take the ice drawer out and make sure that the thing that puts the ice forward is low enough to push out thinner Ice cubes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice features but small

We like the side by side feature, however the inside is small. The ice and water dispenser on the outside is nice.

Great if seal was better and actually made ice

We noticed when fridge was delivered that the freezer door wasn't fully in line with fridge side. We tried to adjust but it still not help. A week or so we noticed that the ice wasn't making as quickly or as much as it should this is b/c the freezer door isn't fully closing and sealing for the ice to make. I tried for months to contact the retailer to where we purchased and had no luck at all on getting it fixed. So we are just constantly closing or checking on freezer door anytime any of us are in the kitchen. Help with getting this fixed would be awesome and if fixed I would for sure increase my rating of product!
