We returned brand new top of the line kitchenaid, because of the high pitch constant noise, for this GE refrigerator. So worth it for a peaceful, happy home. Thank you GE.

The most annoying noise

Generally, this fridge is fine - looks good, ice maker and water dispenser work well, decent storage etc. But the noise is driving me up the wall. Whenever the compressor (I think?) is running (which is often), it makes this irritating higher-pitched noise that drives me insane. Our last fridge had more of a low hum, which was easy to tune out. Not so this one. I’m even considering trying to sell this one and getting a different branded fridge that has a better noise rating on Consumer Reports. That’s how distracting it is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ice maker didn’t work but Abt came out within the first week and replaced it for free. All working now. I like the fridge! Much quieter than my old one. Nice interior lighting too.

Bright LED lights

I love the fact that the refrigerator and freezer have bright bold led lights inside. The anti- fingerprint finish is really nice and Eli ages constant cleaning.

Wonderful Refrigerator

I love the counter depth! The refrigerator in the freezer are working beautifully. I checked the temperatures with external thermometers and they are spot on. I also like the stainless finish it looks great in the kitchen. I'm a little disappointed that the water in the dispenser is not as cold as water that I keep in a pitcher in the refrigerator. The icemaker is great :-)

Nice , but water collects on bottom at times

counter depth and appearance of fridge is great. Performance is good and what I would expect from a GE product. Frustrating, however, is that small amount of water collects on bottom lip of fridge.

2 Service calls in first 10 months

Our last GE fridge 4-5 service calls in 10 years. This one (bought due to lack of inventory due to pandemic) has stopped cooling twice in the first 10 months. Poor quality. 1st service call on this fridge was a result of factory QA flaw. Should have been recalled, as repair man knew exactly what to look for immediately and fixed problem in 2 minutes. Lost everything in the freezer with no compensation. Now it has happened again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
