Love our new GE Refrigerator!

We had another brand before this one, same side by side, counter depth, but that old one was awful, this one is quiet, and so many great features, the LED lighting is great to see in and so much room for everything! We have only had it a few weeks, but so far we are loving it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the counter depth size. A couple issues I've noticed include slight resistance in closing the refrigerator door along with an anoying squeek when closing door. The freezer door has not closed tightly on a couple of occasions resulting in frost build up and persistant "running". I thought there would be an alarm to signify improper door closing. Although I have noted the alarm when leaving the refrigerator door open too long, there has been no alarm indicating the freezer door is not closed properly. Additionally, why did GE skimp on making door handles that reflect finger prints when combined with a body style (slate) that resists prints? This is Irritating.

If your refrigerator door is squeaking or not closing properly, you will want to rub parrafin wax or petroleum jelly on the door gasket and hinges. To resolve the issues you're having with the freezer door and compressor running, you should adjust the leveling legs so that the door will close firmly on its own. Your Door Alarm will sound if either door is open for more than 3 minutes and you can set it by pressing the alarm pad on your controls until the indicator light comes on. We were replacing a refrigerator that we had for 18 years and live in a smaller home with limited kitchen space. This GE refrigerator was the only one that fit our space. We are very happy with the purchase. And we can still put magnets on it!!

Great counter depth fridge

I bought this fridge for the counter depth size, and it fits perfectly! I gained 5" of walk space, which I really needed due to the Galley style of my kitchen. Even though it is smaller in depth the interior layout of the drawers and shelfs works well (I got all of the things from my old fridge into it and had room to spare). The freezer is designed to accommodate large items like whole chickens and larger meats and has baskets for pre-packaged items as well. I like the door Ice and water controls, very easy to read and intuitive. If your looking for a counter depth refrigerator this will fit the bill.
