Love the pull-out shelves and drawer compartments. My last refrigerator lasted for 20+ years so the sleek stainless steel modern look is great in my updated kitchen.

Not very frost-free

This refrigerator develops frost in the freezer. The compressor is loud (sounds like a truck engine), and runs for a very long time. As with many other ice dispensers, crushed ice is barely crushed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not black

Not happy with the color. I ordered the appliance in slate black. As shown in my photo the product is not black, it is a flat dark metallic grey. Every photo I have seen of this product including the one on this request for feedback is clearly black! I also notice the model # is slightly different (GZS221ENPHDS) Not sure what that means. About 2 weeks after delivery the door to the refrigerator side has a very noticeable creaking noise. Very irritating. Other than that it functions as expected. This replaced a GE refrigerator that I had for 23 years with no problems.

Hi jj37 - Thanks for your purchase! Your refrigerator model has a fingerprint resistant Black Slate finish. The Black Slate is a deep charcoal color and the textured steel case around this model is dark gray. The GZS22IENDS and GZS22IENPHDS are the same model. The additional "PH" letters in the model number are used to identify manufacturing specific data. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance.

Nice refrigerator but no crushed ice as advertised

This is a nice refrigerator. We like having a side by side again. But the crushed ice feature is a big disappointment. When you choose the crushed ice option, you get mostly regular sized ice cubes and a very small amount of crushed ice.
