We are always very pleased with GE appliances. I love the black slate, I now have all four appliances in this color by GE. We love the side-by-side, and this is a counter depth fridge that fits and looks great!

Product has a freeze design defect.

The middle freezer shelf if too long to allow the the door to close correctly. There is a plastic plate behind it that will allow the shelf to sit fully to the back of the unit. There is no current fix to it according to GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The space inside is tremendous! It can freeze enough food for our family for the month and the three drawers inside the refrigerator are generously sized as well. Good sized door shelves also. I love the options in the door dispenser. Works very well for our family!
