New GE Counter Depth Refrigerator

The refrigerator is great. The installers are another story. It took me 3 times to get this refrigerator installed correctly. One installer forgot to connect the water so I had a week of a small jackhammer sound every 30 min. as the ice maker tried to work. Finally got that fixed and it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The refrigerator within the first few days had frost. There is no manual or online manual to show how to fix this since the manual says change the temperature and hit enter. There is no enter button on this model. Called repair and they found that the ring around the back circulator was squished during installation so allowing cold air from freezer to come into fridge. The repairman fixed the leak in the air circulation part and it is better. Still gets really cold and sometimes still freezes things in the refrigerator. The temperature on the panel says it is at factory set temp but the fridge still gets too cold since ice still shows up in my lettuce sometimes. I like that the fruit drawer is pretty deep. The bottom freezer wire drawer is pretty small. It doesn't hold much.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What I expected!

This replacement has same GE qualities that my old one has, needed counter depth to get into 30” doorway. The freezer shelves were an improvement to the old racks in my other. Fired up and 4hrs later it was dropping ice and temperatures were good enough to restock food. Hope it lasts as long as my old GE!

We are very happy with our fridge. We decided to go bold by choosing slate as the color, but it fits in great with our stainless steel appliances. The size is excellent and we love that it is counter depth!
