I had a low indicator of ink and could not print in any color until this was re-filled. I purchased the 962 black and then was getting a outage on blue. I purchased the blue and the printer will not clear and allow me to print. I have since made a purchase of a new printer that is toner based.
The cost of a new set of print cartridges for my HP 1090 Office Jet pro exceeded the cost of the printer. HP is using its position as OEM to get scandalous and exorbitant profits on its print cartridges. If it isn't against the law CA law should be changed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I worked over over an hour or more trying to get the 962 3-pack to operate. The process was very simple and should not have been an issue. I kept putting cartridges in, and out, only to get message cartridge was defective. I put the depleted cartridges in a couple of times to verify correct placement. Finally worked.
It replaced an older HP. The new machine feels plasticky and cheap compared to my old HP. The scan quality is much lower and the paper path design is much less robust. Overall I am so disappointed that I am trying to find a used version of my old printer.
