Disappointed in the quality

I have many M&D items that we enjoy. This toy however did not meet expectations. The wood was so rough that I had to try and sand it down myself. The lines on the wood were also very uneven. Quality was disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It was a bit smaller then I anticipated but being for 3 or over it make sense. I wish the clapper was a bit louder because you can hardly hear it.

We, our 2 -year-old grandson, and his parents use these instruments to play along with music. The instruments are colorful and a nice size for a small child, but I am disappointed in the lack of resonance and tone in the cymbals and the triangle, and I would like to hear a looser, louder rattle from the maracas and the tambourine!
