[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a couple of months ago to replace my older Whirlpool icemaker. Makes ice very well and quantity of ice is excellent. Machine is noisy when filling water. Louder than my older machine. Otherwise very satisfied.

Great and dependable ice maker

I liked the quality and ice production so much that I ordered this new one for my renovated kitchen. I didn't want to take a chance by ordering a different brand and being disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Died in less than three weeks. During that three weeks it made great ice. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I bought a month ago it was just installed yesterday, March 2nd. It has made ice ok, however there has been a strange smell coming from it. Today, second day, is not as bad, but still there. I'm not sure what the smell could be. Maybe it's because its new and worked for 24 hours trying to fill the bin. This is the third ice maker we have put in over the last 18 years. We never had this issue before. The other 2 were Kitchen Aid, but this Whirlpool is identical to the other two.

Too Noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit for our kitchen remodel to put in bar area. Once opened the Inside panel was cracked, it was replaced no problem. The noise level of making the ice in this machine is too loud, I would not recommend this unit if you wanted a quit ice machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid purchase that works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this for about a month and it has been great. We use a lot of ice and our previous ice machine finally died after 11 years. We resorted to buying ice at the gas station weekly, breaking it up and putting it in ziplock bags while waiting to get this new one delivered. It’s working great and we are so happy we have it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exceptional Freestanding Icemaker
